Desican
Inc offers a good moisture adsorbents Unit Pak line in various
size packaging. These Unit Paks meet or exceed MIL Spec
3464, Type I & II. A “unit” refers to a
Military Specification for packaging. The term unit is a
quantity of desiccant, which will adsorb a set percentage
of its weight at certain levels of humidity. For convenience,
one unit is approximately equal to one ounce. Unit pack
& Sorb-It® packaged silica gel is a highly porous
amorphous silicon dioxide. It binds water molecules in its
random intersecting channels which have various diameters.
The material remains dry and free flowing, even after fully
saturated with water vapor.

Tyvek
is a spunbonded olefin. Tyvek bags are made from high
density polyethylene fibers, making them extremely tear
resistant. In addition, Tyvek is lightweight, flexible,
smooth, low-linting, and is resistant to water, chemical
abrasion, and aging.
Tyvek bags won't promote corrosion and contains no sulpher.
Sulpher, when placed in contact with a product may cause
corrosion in many applications, such as those used by
the electronics industry.

GDTII
Packets
|
This
packet material is the best value for most small packaging
applications. GDTII is tear-resistant, flexible, low-linting,
allows a high adsorption rate, and features good seal
strength. Tri-Sorb® in GDTII packets is also approved
by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration for direct
contact with food and pharmaceuticals.
